Starscream is busy trying to assert his command of the Decepticons, believing Megatron and Optimus dead. But the pair are alive, and continue their battle in the depth of Cybertron. On the surface, Grimlock leads his small team on a special mission to rescue Optimus, while Shockwave bombards Iacon. Meanwhile, in their fight, Megatron and Optimus are pulled into the Matrix.
